This afternoon I received the unfortunate news that even with consistent treatment, Taz's health was not improving
I had to make the choice to put him to sleep, I went in and said goodbye to him
He was my best friend for 11 years, I really couldn't have asked for a more perfect and unordinary cat
I will always treasure him in my heart <3
Here are some pics of me and Taz throughout the years
I'll never forget you Tazzy boy <3
I'm gonna miss him so much
Again, I wanted to thank everyone for their support
I don't know where I would be emotionally without all of you having my back
This journal doesn't have to end on an unhappy note, however.
After saying goodbye to Taz, I went to the animal shelter to pick out a cat to keep Payne company. Payne and Taz grew up together and she's always had him to cuddle with.
Since Taz has been gone she has been wandering around the house meowing (imitating his meow) for him, she's so confused :C
While I have two other cats, they're not very fond of Payne and won't cuddle with her, they just sort of tolerate each other.
I picked out a super cuddly, 5 month old, male, named Zarko! He's super precious and gentle, and I feel like they'll get along very well
Payne is very gentle too, she was always grooming Taz. Zarko was grooming all the other kittens at the shelter and seems to have a very similar personality to Payne.
He's a lil fluffball
I won't be able to introduce them for about 10 days or so, as Zarko still needs to adjust to his new surroundings, so for the mean time I'm keeping him separate from the other cats
It's going to be good to have a young cat around the house to keep me busy, he's very climby, he likes up XD
I've been calling him ZarZar ;u;
